Suggest Treatment For Muscle Pulled Pain In Chest

I pulled a muscle in my chest wall behind my left breast. I felt when it happened this morning. I have been in a ton of pain all day. I have used bed rest, Tylenol, and heat. I have an Orthopaedic doctor that I go to for
arthritis. Can he help with this problem? Thank you.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

DIAGNOSIS: INTERCOSTAL MUSCLE SPASM

TREATMENT:
1) T.myoril 8 mg 1-0-1 for about 1 week
2) Dicloran gel for local application
3) Hot water fomentation ( about 3 times a day )

This wil take care of your problem.U do not have to worry. It takes about 2 weeks to settle down ( intercostal muscle takes more tme unlike other muscles since giving complete rest to it is not possible , since they are involved in breathing.)
I find this answer helpful
