Suggest Treatment For Muscle Soreness

I have had muscle soreness in my left hamstring up toward my buttocks for about 6 months now. I am able to stretch very well and have more ROM now than ever but the soreness will not subside. What can I do to eliminate it? I am still able to do all usual activities.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Muscle soreness is usually due to mechanical injury to muscle. It is a self-limiting condition that usually requires no treatment.
Advice
1.     Take proper rest
2.     Apply ice four times daily or you can immerse your foot and leg in cold water for few minutes four times daily
3.     Gently stretch your muscles
4.     Avoid weight lifting and strenuous activity until recovery
5.     You can take ibuprofen 400 mg orally if soreness is unbearable. Avoid if soreness is tolerable
6.     You can also apply locally Relaxyl ointment three time times daily or any other over the counter muscle relaxant ointment
Thanks
