I have all but one symptom of MS that I had read and they have become progressively worse for the last 3 weeks; so I am being worked up for it. A year ago, after being admitted to the hospital due acute delirium, hallucination, inappropriate behavior that I have no memory of, with a full toxicology report that showed nothing in my system, I had an MRI of my brain that showed a few nonspecific foci of supratentorial white matter signal abnormality. This can represent chronic small vessel ischemia, a demyelinating process, infectious lesions, sarcoidosis, and nonspecific gliosis. The EEG at that time says abnormal EEG due too the presence of left more frequently than right, intermittent temporal theta and delta slowing. Two bursts of irregular high amplitude diffuse sharply contoured theta activity were seen, which are of unclear significance, but could support diffuse brain irritability or potentially a seizure focus, which could not be well-localized. I just had another brain MRI that says no acute intracranial process. No evidence of abnormal enhancement or mass lesion identified. How can the MRIs of my brain be so different in a year? Also MRI of C-spine recently shows C1-C2 there is mild synovial hypertrophy, C2-3 there is a mild right C3 foraminal narrowing, C3-4 there is mild to moderate bilateral C4 foraminal narrowing, C4-5 there is a moderate to severe left C5 foraminal narrowing due to uncinate hypertrophy. Evaluation of cord parenchyma reveals abnormal signal intensity posteriorly in the midline at lower C2 through the superior endplate of C3 There is mild cord signal heterogeneity posteriorly also at C5-6 in the posterior midline. What does all this mean? I am having a problem finding a decent neurologist due to my insurance. Please help Of note, I am 43 years old and have been diagnosed with viral meningitis four times. If not MS, then what else could be causing all my symptoms? such as memory loss (I remembered 1 word out of 3 when told by a dr to remember them), dizzy, nausea/vomiting out of nowhere, headache, vision is fine one second and not the next, pins and needles in my fingertips when my hand shakes uncontrollably, numbness in arms, hands, and feet, bilaterally, my leg gives out sometimes when I am walking, loss of strength in both hands to the point of dropping and breaking things, but intermittent, muscle weakness, severe fatigue, severe pain, pain behind my eyes, confusion, etc. Someone, please HELP ME
