Suggest Treatment For Muscles Pain After Knee Replacement
I need two complete knee replacements but within the last 10-12 days the back of my legs have tight muscles all the way from ankles to the top of my legs .....could my knees what anything to do with that....when i first get up it takes around 7 times to push myself up from recliner and need a walker or would fall down if i didn t have one..... thank you so much for your time
I'm unable to make out if you had undergone knee replacement or not. Stiffness of muscles on the back of leg is seen in the following conditions 1) Achilles tendinitis 2) Baker's cyst 3) Gout 4) Severe hamstrings injury 5) Juvenile idiopathic arthritis 6) Bursitis of knee joint 7) Deep vein thrombosis 8) Ankylosing spondylitis
In order to evaluate the specific cause of your leg stiffness, you are to be clinically examined and few other investigations are to be done. Kindly contact an ortho specialist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
