Hello,

I'm unable to make out if you had undergone knee replacement or not. Stiffness of muscles on the back of leg is seen in the following conditions
1) Achilles tendinitis
2) Baker's cyst
3) Gout
4) Severe hamstrings injury
5) Juvenile idiopathic arthritis
6) Bursitis of knee joint
7) Deep vein thrombosis
8) Ankylosing spondylitis

In order to evaluate the specific cause of your leg stiffness, you are to be clinically examined and few other investigations are to be done. Kindly contact an ortho specialist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
