my wife has motonic muscular dist., and constrictive lung disease she was admited in the emergency room having phnewmonia given antibiotics 2 weeks sedated almost cleared up had a trakia done feeding tube and 3rd week the infection returned now 4th week she is to weak to fight it. they are calling itmutifactoral infectious/metabolic encephalopathy. when she s asleep its good but when she is awake she is constantly wiggling and she has four point restraints on.we have been married 38 yrs and dont want to lose her but its not looking good. I will never give up on her.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, such ling disease may not be fatal one but of course this could be long lasting and patient can complete the normal life, with the medicine symptoms can be minimized, second care need to be taken for other vital systems and that need to be free from pathological changes, with the regular follow up, she would do better, hope this information helps, take good care of here, bye.
