Suggest Treatment For Nasal Irritation After Accidental Inhalation Of Water Into The Nostrils
I was chewing a carrot. I did a somersault and water went into my nose, it felt like when I swim, and water goes into my nose, but the pain lasted longer. To be clear, none of the water got in from the outside, but from the inside of my mouth. Please do not spam me.
It is very common that some food particles or fluids go from the back of the mouth cavity to the back of the nose. This is generally very uncomfortable and may cause a lot of distress at the moment it happens.
On the other hand, this is self-limiting and no treatment is needed. The patient should feel better within a few minutes to hours.
I hope this is helpful. I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General and Family Physician
