I have developed nasal papilloma. CT scan PNS report is due. Doctor has advise endoscopic excision with cauterisation . Please let me know is the procedure very painful, what kind of anaesthesia shall I be given and also how long does it take to heal.. shall I be able to join work the next day?

Surgery is the primary treatment for nasal papillomas with Endoscopic Endonasal Approach being the technique of choice because of its advantages like No incisions to heal, No disfigurement, Faster recovery time.It may be done on local or general anethesia, however, all are good and produce good results.Many people do not have much pain after nasal papilloma surgery, but every patient is different.However, your Doctor may precribe pain drugs for you after the procedure depending on pain intensity.Generally, postoperative discomfort, congestion, and drainage should improve after the first few days, with mild symptoms sometimes lingering several weeks after the surgery.Your Doctor will be in the best position to judge when you may start work given your evolution after the procedure.
