Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband was diagnosed with pylori infection, was treated with antibiotics. He has finished the meds and is still experiencing stomach pain and cramping , nausea, is very itchy and yesterday I noticed the whites of his eyes have turned very yellow and he has a yellowish tinge to his skin (he is quite tanned so wasn t noticeable right away). His urine is also very bright yellow with a tinge of red. He had prostate cancer 5 years ago and had is all removed.
Yellowing of the skin and eyes can indicate jaundice. He needs blood tests to check the liver along with a complete blood count and ESR (this looks for inflammation).
Treatment would depend on the findings
I hope this helps
