Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mother is diabetic for the past 7-8yrs. Today after lunch she complained of sudden whiteness in vision accompanied by nausea and cold sweat. She is in her late 50s and her doctor has prescribed her mignar and jalra tablets and sorbiline syrup post lunch. what may be the cause behind it?
hello, i can understand your concern. i would like to know for how long your mom has been using the mignar and jalra tablets for her diabetes. if along with this any insulin is prescribed??? if these have been started recently these most probably are due to the side effects of the drugs. jalra contains the molecule vildagliptin. this does produce dizziness and sweating in patients. nausea can be present with both the drugs. there is also a possibility of hypoglycemia leading to these symptoms. i would hence suggest a check of the fasting and post prandial sugars checked and the dosage of the drugs adjusted accordingly by the treating doctor. if the problem persists i would recommend a change in the drug. hope i have answered your concerns. feel free to ask further queries. thanks for choosing HCM
