Hi.
Green tarry stools is suggestive of an infection of the intestinal tract.
You have to go for the blood tests including for sugar and liver functions.
Stool tests, culture and sensitivity and for occult blood.
This will give an idea for the further management.
a course of an antibiotic and metronidazole and probiotics may help.
If the course of 5 days solves your problem you do not need any further treatment.
If the problem persist, colonoscopy is warranted.
You did no t hurt the liver.
