Suggest Treatment For Nausea And Ringing In The Head

Today my 7 year old grand daughter described having the following symptoms during a test ; about to faint , head felt heavy, a bell ringing in her head and her head falling to the left side. She said after a minute or so it went away. She stated this is about the 3rd time it had happened. What could cause these symptoms and should we get immediate medical attention for her.?

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have nausea and ringing in the head . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like temporomandibular problem , stress and anxiety , localize change in blood pressure , impacted tooth , hearing loss and infection in ear . Sometimes condition like meniere's disease can also cause such symptoms . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order tests like CT scan , vitals , examination with otoscope and rule out TMJ or impacted tooth problems . Doctor may prescribe supplement like ginkgo biloba , anti inflammatory , antibiotics ( gentamicin ) or may refer you to dentist in case of TMJ or impacted tooth problem . For now apply dry warm compress to TMJ and ear , drink green tea thrice a day and do mind relaxing exercises like yoga and meditation .

Hope your concern has been resolved .

Best Wishes,
