Suggest Treatment For Nausea In A Child

My 9 yr old son frequently wakes up feeling mildly nauseous, and will sometimes vomit. He often does not drink enough water, though today he has had 8 cups of water but still is tired. His upset stomach has come and gone. Otherwise healthy. Above norm in height and weight

Hello,
Nausea is a very unspecific symptom. It can be due to a wide variety of underlying pathologies or conditions.
Try to eliminate certain basic triggers which can cause nausea. Travel, high milk products, infections, heavy dinner etc.
If the nausea and vomiting is present for long without fever or other symptoms it might also be due to some organic conditions of his GI tract.
I would suggest for a visit to your PCP to do some exams and find the real caude. Treating the base cause can help eliminating nausea and vomiting he is currently experiencing.
I find this answer helpful
