Suggest Treatment For Nausea, Numbness And Swelling In The Arms
Hi, I am so glad u r here. I went to a heart Dr. Friday for what I thought was going to be a scheduled stress test. He listened to my heart and did an EKG. Scheduled the stress test in another week. Unexpectingly the EKG came back irregular.....spikes. He said everything sounded good and he didn t think there was anything to be over concerned about. Tonight I am having a lot of palpatations. No pain, nausea numbness in arm, swelling or anything u might see with a heart attack. My body size is normal. I take blood pressure meds. My be is 145 over 85. The one thing that has changed this week is I was given Cipro for the beginning of a UT infection. Today is Saturday so my Dr. Is unavailable. Got any suggestions?
You mentioned that the EKG came out irregular, which indicates a condition called arrhythmia, in which the heart beats irregularly. This is responsible for the palpitations you have. Furthermore, ciprofloxacin rarely causes arrhythmias, so is inconsequential to the diagnosis.
I would suggest you wait till your next scheduled test and reevaluate the EKG results with your cardiologist. No irregular heartbeat is insignificant. However, stay as calm as you can till then.
I hope I have answers your question.
Best wishes.
