Suggest Treatment For Nausea, Vomiting And Headache
68 year old female has nausea and vomiting. no other symptoms. She vomits many times a day. Can t keep food or liquids down. She has experienced this on and off , recently as 2 weeks ago. It lasts a couple of days and then she s better. She has no abdominal pain except for a slight headache. She has been stressed lately and I know she does not eat properly. Any thoughts?
Hello, At this age these symptoms can be seen due to many reasons which include infectious cause mostly. As this is there for a pretty longer duration. I would suggest you get her blood tests done for MPDA, widal test and CBC, ESR.
First and most important thing is stop the vomiting as it can result in severe dehydration. So seeing a doctor or taking her to a hospital would be better as depending on her condition there might be need of IVF infusion and antiemetics will be administered in injection form to stop the vomiting.
Further looking at her test results the doctor will advise appropriate management for her which will definitely provide some relief. Hope this helps. Feel free to contact for any further query in the future.
