Suggest Treatment For Nausea, Whole Body Numbness And Slurred Speech

I quit smoking for almost 4 months now. I am a diabetic and ever since I quit smoking my blood sugars have been elevated, between 200-300. THe MD has mad adjustments to my insulin with insulin coverage, but they remain high, My speech is slurred at times, my body feels numb, and I have a lot of nausea. My menstrual period did not arrive at the time it should have a week ago and still hasn t arrived. I am very regular, basically I just feel awful.

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern.

As per your query you have nausea, whole body numbness and slurred speech . From your symptoms i think its all because of hypoparathyroidism i.e decrease levels of thyroid hormones in your body. The symptoms can also occur due to side effects of certain medicine , allergic reaction like asthma or cardiovascular problem. I would suggest you to visit endocrinologist . Get your lab tests ( CBC, LFTs, RFTs and thyroid function test) done. From the lab values it could be make out what is the exact cause of your condition and treatment can be started accordingly. The sympoms could be because of nerve pathology as well i.e stimulation of trigeminal nerve. So firstly find out underlying cause, if that is not the reason you have to visit dentist and start treatment for this condition.
