Suggest Treatment For Nausea,vomiting And Diarrhea

My boyfriend started with nausea and vomiting last Friday morning after being in a bathroom where the sewer line had been backed up and it was very odorous and he immediately felt very nauseated. Vomited few times and felt very weak so went home and continued with theses symptoms in addition to diarrhea, belching and his fluid intake has increased slowly and only eating small amounts at a time then experiencing diarrhea within 45 minutes. He has not had a fever or aches or pains anywhere. Has had chills few times probably related to dehydration. Could this be related to a parasite infection?

Hello,

From the symptoms ypu are describing, it seems that your friend is suffering from stomach infection only. He should do an antibiotic course for that. Norfloxacin 400 mg (Norflox) twice a day for 5 days is the antibiotic course.

He should stay light om diet for few days and should drink lots of liquids. If he does not feel better in three days, I would advise to visit a physician for physical examination and further investigations.
