General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Ibuprofen is helpful in mild to moderate pain. I would suggest you to take muscle relaxants like chlorzoxazone after visiting your physician. Chlorzoxazone is available in combination with pain killers such as paracetamol or diclofenac can also be taken. Hot compress can provide pain relief and can be done twice a day. X-ray or MRI should be done to rule out fractures.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
