Suggest Treatment For Neck Pain After Injury

I am 151/89 today after my son jumped on my neck. I got tensed and little bit angry with his naughty antics. Is this something I should really bothered about? I went to ER just now to check coz there is muscle pain on my neck and he said it is not alarming (my BP). Thanks!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Thank you for trusting HCM

Increased blood pressure when you went to the ER could possibly be due to anxiety. Hypertension cannot be diagnosed with single blood pressure reading.
You will need to get at least 3 blood pressure readings in different settings like your home and doctor's office.
If all the readings are consistently high, then hypertension is diagnosed.
You can apply ice, take rest and take Ibuprofen for muscle pain.

Hope this answers your question
