Suggest Treatment For Nerve Damage In Right Shoulder
I am a 39 year old female. I have nerve damage in right shoulder. However I have been experiencing a loss of proprioceptive sense (mine has never been great but it seems to be declining). I can t look at someone beside me and walk forward without tripping. If I run up stairs I trip every time. I have increased muscle twitching in large muscles of my body when resting. Very occasionally they do this when I m up and about. 5 years ago the neurologist said that everything was due to the nerve damage in my shoulder. And that it may be my weight that is an issue. I have since lot 50 lbs and symptoms are only getting worse rather then better.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. Nerve will get repaired slowly as nerve regeneration is a slow process. Neurotropic drugs like Pregabalin and nerve vitamin like B12 (cyanocobalamin) will be helpful also. Physiotherapy and muscle strengthening exercises also is recommended. For this you can consult a physiotherapist. If you are in excess weigh weight reduction is a good idea. A follow up with your neurologist is well appreciated. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
