Suggest Treatment For Nerve Tingling On Neck After Injury
I had a leg cramp, got out of bed, passed out 30 sec. vomited. Injured shoulder & neck. Been 11 days still can t move neck without terrible pain. X-rays show no broken bones. Been on Norco & Prednisone. Have had nerve tingling from neck to thumb for approx. 3 mo. Related? Tom
You seem to have suffered a minor TIA expands as transient ischemic attack also called mini stroke. You need to get examined in detail by a physician. Regarding the neck pain and tingling, it might be due to cervical spondylitis or disc degeneration or prolapse. It causes impingement on nerve root and causes pain and tingling.
I recommend pain relieving medications like NSAIDs like Ibuprofen or Aceclofenac to be taken for 10 days. Neuromodulators like tab. Pregabalin can be taken for 30 days. To prevent gastric irritation, take tab. Pantop before food. Cervical collar is to be worn continuously except while sleeping.
Physical therapy would strengthen the neck muscles and helps relieving pain. If you pass out again or if other symptoms like severe headache or weakness of limbs, please do contact a neuro-physician.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
