Suggest Treatment For Nodules On The Thyroid Gland

57 years old 5 5 192 lbs I had ultrasound on thyroid. Have 1 large 2.1 cm nodule on left and 2.4 cm nodule on right. Also have 4 nodules (7mm) for a total of 6 nodules on thyroid. Went to ENT surgeon and recommends removal of thyroid. He informed me I have too many nodules and would require biopsy of all of them. I ve been on Synthroid for over 20 years and alway had good TSH and T4 numbers. I m on 1.12 mcg synthroid. Are there any other alternatives or guidelines you could recommend? Thank you.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

You have multiple nodule in thyroid. So you may have multinodular goitre. There are chances that it can turn in to cancer. So idea treatment is surgical removal of thyroid.

So go for thyroidectomy and continue your synthroid according to advise.
