Suggest Treatment For Noise Or Ringing In The Ear

I often have ear noises such as swishing. Sometimes it won t stop and can drive me nearly crazy. Other times, especially at night while in bed my heart pounds very loudly in my ears. It s usually after a strange dream or some upsetting dreams. My heart doesn t actually race but does increase and is very loud in my ears. Keeps me awake and is worrisome. Thank you. Carol

As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from a condition leading to spontaneous sounds in ears, known as Tinnitus..
It can occur due to a number of causes like age related hearing disturbance, excess ear wax accumulation, ear drum perforation, otosclerosis, TMJ disorders, Meniere's disease, head injury, Acoustic Neuroma, high blood pressure etc..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and investigations like Otoscopic examination, Audiometry, MRI scan, blood pressure monitoring etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised medicines like Tricyclic Anti-depressant lime Amitryptiline, anti anxiety medication like Diazepam, Multivitamin supplements as well as hearing aids, Neuromodulation can be advised..
