Suggest Treatment For Numbness And Tingling Sensation In The Back

Hello, I have an area in the middle of my back to the left of my spine which is numb to the touch and sometimes tingling. The area seems to be growing in size. I would say the numb area is the size of an orange. My husband looked at the area and cannot see anything. I am worried this may be Lyme Disease. What should I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If you think you have been at risk for Lyme disease, you need to see your doctor and probably have some blood tests.

It may take some weeks after being infected for the tests for Lyme to come out positive, but the doctor will do a thorough examination and if he finds evidence that may indicate the disease will give you the needed treatment.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
