Suggest Treatment For Numbness During The Day And Slurred Speech

87 year old female, right hand goes numb during the day but sometimes she works out with exercise but on 2 or 3 occasions around 5pm her blood pressure spiked, then slurred speech, last only for maybe five to ten minutes. Several CT s and an MRI show no stroke but she does have a small subdural hematoma, from falling due to we are not sure, we think total dehydration, very little water intake. She has been very hydrated and drinking alot of water lately but it is still happening. It seems to happen once or twice after anti- siezure meds but it may be due to anxiety. Other than that, she is very alert, knows whats going on & as strong as can be for her age and the OT, PT & nurses, docs, etc are very surprised at her agility & alertness.

Consult a neurologist and get evaluated.

An MRI scan is required to rule out conditions like mini-stroke or TIA.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
