Suggest Treatment For Numbness From Head To Eyes And Drainage From Ears

Hi, I am 32yr old male; height 6 2 ; weight 220lbs. I have been prescribed Neurontin 600mg 3 times per day for headaches. Over the period of 3 months, the medicine has stopped working and I am left with the same symptoms as before, which are: numbness/sleep feeling on top of head that can extend down to both eyes, bridge of nose pain/pressure and drainage from my ears. What else can I do about this? I have been to the ER and had CT, MRI of my brain and sinus scan but everything is okay. Since neuortin is a nerve pill --- could this issue be with a nerve being pinched in my neck/back?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms do not seem to be related to a inched nerve. Based on your description, it seems to be tension type headache. For this reason, I would recommend trying amitriptyline or escitalopram and see if it works. You should discuss with his doctor on the above treatment options.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
