Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. The top of my foot is almost completely numb and the numbness extends to my smallest two toes. I first noticed this last night and the numbness has persisted through today (almost 24 hours now)
I am 21 years old- became a type 1 diabetic 3 years ago and have had an A1C blood sugar average under 7.3 since my diagnosis.
Also, I have been on my feet for 7 hours daily at work and realized this morning that I might tend to tighten my shoes too much?
My question is in regaards to the numbness.... do you think that three years of type 1 diabetes with a blood sugar average like mine could already lead to this numbness in my feet which has not gone away for almost 24 hours? Or do you think it could be from working with my shoes? or both?
