As per your complain it seems that in case you have yeast infection in throat, it is very much likely that it might be spreading to the tongue leading to symptoms of tingling,burning,loss of taste and white splotches.. As in case of yeast infection also known as CANDIDIASIS or THRUSH the symptoms are characterized by white elevated patches on tongue, feeling of altered taste, numbness and burning sensation , dryness of mouth as well as cracks can be seen on the tongue can be seen as well as corners of mouth.. I would suggest you to consult your doctor again and get your check up done.. In case it is thrush anti fungal oral and topical medicines can be helpful.. Taking probiotics in diet like Yoghurt can help in clearing the infection.. Maintain good oral hygiene.. Drink plenty of water to maintain hydration and prevent dryness of mouth..
