General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Vaginal symptoms are not uncommon when you are on antibiotics. If they are mild, you can wait and see if it gets better when the antibiotics are finished. If they are severe, you might need treatment for a yeast infection or bacterial vaginitis.

Both of these problems are often exacerbated by antibiotics because antibiotics can change the natural bacteria that usually maintain a healthy balance in the vagina.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein,
General Surgeon
