Suggest Treatment For Numbness In Thumb After Injecting Heroin

Hi doctor. I just did a shot of heroin in my thumb and I missed the shot. Now my thumb is very numb I can t even bend it also the numbness is in my hand a little from my thumb. My thumb is also very swollen. What should I do to heal my thumb of the numbness and swelling. Also when I touch my thumb I can t really feel it that much cuz of the numbness I hope. How can I heal this at home?

Hi,

The numbness in thumb can be related to possible nerve damage or so from the heroin shot. You can only opt for application of ice over the part, but I recommend to consult your primary care immediately before it worsens the condition underlying.
