Suggest Treatment For Numbness On Side Of Abdomen And Feet

I have been getting treated by a chiropractor for leg numbness on my right side. My leg feels better but I still have numbness on the right side of my abdomen and both of my feet occasionally feel spongy. Should I continue to see the chiropractor or should I see a doctor. I saw my doctor two months ago and she thought it was just a pinched nerve. She told me to continue to see the chiropractor. What should I do?

Numbness is usually caused by damage, irritation or compression of nerves.Treatment depends on the underlying cause.There are many possible causes of numbness some of which are:
-Peripheral neuropathy
-Diabetic neuropathy
-Neurologic disorders like multiple sclerosis
-ionic imbalances like hypocalcemia, hypomagnesemia
-Vitamin B12 deficiency
-Alcohol use disorder
There are many causes and only a good history of your problem and clinical evaluation by a Doctor with some paraclinacal investigations may help bring out the exact cause.
I will suggest you see a Neurologist for evaluation.Test that may help bring out the cause of your problem may include: full blood count, serum electrolyte, fasting blood sugar, electromyogram, CT scan of brain, vitamin levels.Treatment will however depend on underlying cause.
