Recently I ve noticed a temporary mild numbness in the right front part of my tongue and in the tips of some of the fingers of my right hand. This seems to happen on exertion like today as I was on an elliptical machine at a gym. I regularly exercise with elliptical and other machines at the gym, swimming, tai chi and yoga. The numbness dissipates with rest. I m 77 years old and weigh 127 lbs.

Suggest Treatment For Numbness On The Tongue
Hello, Temporary mild numbness of a right front part of the tongue is not associated with any kind of exercise. Numbness and tingling sensation may be associated with vitamin B12 deficiency. I suggest you get blood levels of vitamin B12. In case there is a deficiency of vitamin B12, you need to consult your neurologist. Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
