Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have these open sores (due to my ignorance of thinking they were zits) in my pubic hair region and they have been there for a week and a half they also have what appares to be clear little boils around similar to a water blister now I shaved my pubic hair around the same time I had, had sex I was curious could it just be a infected ingrown hair or could it be herpes note my partner doesn t have any STD s at all and before her my last sexual encounter was 8 months ago please let me know
If you don't have fever or burning, itching or pain over there, this is unlikely to be herpes. As there are no lesion on, or discharge from penis, chance of other STD also is less.
They may indicate superficial boils that were de-roofed while shaving or other form of dermatitis. You can try applying local antibiotic creams like mupirocin twice daily for 5 days. If not getting better by then, kindly get it examined with your doctor. Meanwhile keep the area clean and dry.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
