Suggest Treatment For Osteoarthritis And Hypothyroidism
Good morning I have been diagnosed with RA & Osteoarthritis & have just found out that I also have an underactive thyroid. I am on medication for my RA - because of a problem with my liver I am unable to take anti inflammatories. I am in a lot of pain especially in my hands, lower back, neck, shoulders, hips & neck. I have asked my doctor & rheumatologist for injections into my more painful joints but was told no. I have asked to be referred to a specialist for my thyroid but can t get into see her until next year. I am also on anti-depressants which aren t really working.
Thyroid itself may aggravate the problem. You may apply local pain killer medication. Use tablet tramadol twice a day for five days. Use physical therapy and yoga may useful.
Avoid spicy food and alcohol. If symptoms not improved may need nerve block or local infection of steroids may useful. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
