I am 78 years and a female who eats a gluten free diet so not many additives - mostly cook at home. We walk almost every day for 30-40 minutes in walking trails in our housing development. I was given a bone density test recently and told I have osteopenia. What do I need to change?dmw

Suggest Treatment For Osteopenia In A 78 Year Old
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic You are active which is important regarding bone density. A diet which contains foods high in calcium is important eg milk, cheese and other dairy, green leafy vegetables, nuts, tofu, soya beans You may need to use medication as well, to help with the bones. This would reduce the risk of fracture. I hope this helps
