Suggest Treatment For Ovarian Cyst Leading To Abdominal Pain

Hi, I m 37, one child. Started feeling extreme lower abdominal pain mostly on the right lower quadrant. I could feel pain and pressure when I walk, eat, drink or move too quickly. My doctor sent me for an ultrasound to rule out appendicitis. Appendicitis was ruled out, but showed a 3.7 cm ovarian cyst on right side. Dr. Told me to rest and it would resolve on its own. After a few days of still feeling severe pain and didn t think that was normal, I made an appointment to see my GYN. She did an ultrasound and found that the cyst was now 2.2 cm and there was fluid in the cul de sac and ordered a stat CT scan with contrast. I have not received the results of the CT scan as yet, but I m very concerned and would like to know what this could be. Please help. Thank you
