Suggest Treatment For Overactive Bladder As Botox Dint Work

I am 49 years old.. Last year, around July I started leaking and wetting the bed. I was diagnosed with an overactive bladder. In November 2009 I had a botox injection in my bladder, This lasted till around June this year. I ve just had another botox injection on 18th October which doesn t appear to have worked. The doctor is now telling me that it doesn t always work. My query is, why would it work last year but not this?

Hello,

The unresponsiveness to Botox may be from the tissue resistance, development of antibodies against the same, development of advanced pathology than the previous one or else.

Depending upon the type of reason as neurology or anatomic, best guidelines of surgery can be figured out with the help of uroflowmetry evaluation.

The primary trial of alpha-blocker drugs gives the best results in this issue.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
