Suggest Treatment For Pain After Implanon Insertion
I got my inplonon almost 2 months ago and it is starting to sting in the opposite side of where they put it in. Its also at an angle and almost poking out of my skin. It hurts so bad. Is this normal ? Also I have been bleeding since May 12th and it hasn t slowed down or anything. Please help
Severe pain is not normal after Implanon insertion and I doubt about possible inflammation at the insertion site. Primary relief with local application of ice and analgesic medicine as diclofenac or ibuprofen, consult your OBGYN for heavy menses flow.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
