General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Severe pain is not normal after Implanon insertion and I doubt about possible inflammation at the insertion site. Primary relief with local application of ice and analgesic medicine as diclofenac or ibuprofen, consult your OBGYN for heavy menses flow.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
