Suggest Treatment For Pain And Bump On Ankle After An Injury
I rolled my ankle about 2 weeks and there was minimum swelling and barely any discoloration.. I have since been in an ankle brace and have had serious pain just below my ankle on the inside and now there is a bump (what I think is a bone) that hurts while I walk or put weight on my foot.. the only time it feels even a little better is when I have been asleep or have been using the RICE method but as soon as I start walking again its back to square one

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello, Thanks for your query.
It might be soft tissue injury or fracture. Without X-ray, it is difficult to differentiate a fracture from others. I suggest you to consult an orthopaedician nearby for a detailed examination. You may get the X-ray of the area affected under his/her guidance.
In the interim, apply ice packs to the affected area,anti-inflammatory drug like motrin to reduce pain and inflammation. Avoid putting weight and rest well.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
