Suggest Treatment For Pain And Itching Across The Back In An Elderly Person

Hi, my mother is 92 years old and has upper back pain, itching across chest back and side, and tiredness. She went the emergency room several days ago and they could not find anything. they said they did not believe it was a problem with her heart or lungs. any ideas.

Hello,

Itchiness in the trunk, when there are no visible lesions can be due to dry skin. It might be beneficial if she uses vaseline cream twice a day for 1-2 weeks and see if there is a difference.

If any lesions appear on the skin, she will need to be seen by a doctor.
