Suggest Treatment For Pain And Numbness In The Feet After Injury
I stubbed my big toe very hard 5 days ago. It was swollen and bruised the next day and is still swollen and bruised over the joints. I had an X-ray done last night and my regular doctor said it is not broken. It is still extremely painful to walk, move, even rest. The pain is all on the big toe side of my foot. It occasionally goes numb and tingly and feels cool. Should I get another opinion or wait it out?
The toe injury can last for a long time without any break in the bone. I would advise you to wait for it to heal. In the meantime, you can give the toe rest by wearing open shoes so that there is no further trauma to the area.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
