Suggest Treatment For Pain And Pressure In The Head
For the last few months I keep getting a squeezing sensation around my head (like hands are being pressed on either side of my brain)..... Sometimes this can make me feel a little lightheaded. Other times I can feel like my heads pumping when I move quick or bend over but not painful like a headache more like a quick flow of too much pressure
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pain and pressure in the head. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like cervical radiculopathy , cervical spondolysis, migraine or due to cardiac problem like angina. For now apply warm compresses to neck , do light stretching exercises , avoid triggers like bright lights and loud sound and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . I would suggest you to consult neurologist for proper examination . Doctor may order blood tests , CT scan , MRI and lumbar puncture . Doctor may prescribe triptans like sumatriptan , ergotamine and caffeine combination drugs , metoclopramide and narcotics.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwar
