Suggest Treatment For Pain And Redness In Arm Post Injury
I burnt my arm on a hot pan from the oven I used aloe and once it popped neosporin + pain It s all creamy inside and the red around it seems to spreading. I have not kept it covered it s on the top arm front above where the elbow would be. Just need to know if that sounds good for healing or should I be doing something different. It s really hurting.
* The spreading redness with an excess of the pain of more than 4 out of 10 scale indicate underlying inflammation in tissue with hematoma or cellulitis changes.
* I quote for immediate medical assistance as this requires the prescription of analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antibiotics to resolve it faster and prevent secondary bacterial infection.
Primary relief with ice application and intake of analgesic tablets available off the counter will give some benefit.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
