Hi there, I have had retinal vasculitis for a year and half now. I had two laser surgeries to seal the blood vessels at the back of the eye. My vision is still very blurred as a result. However this is not my main issue. I experience severe pain which feels like swelling inside the eye. I have been to many eye doctors and had various blood tests but nothing comes up. I'm very desperate just now and have had to drop out of my university course and don't have any life just now. I was wondering if there was any treatement you could suggest? the pain is very intense and I experience it around the eye as well at the eyebrows and under the eye it swells up. The corner of the eye also goes red. however my eye doctor can't see anything wrong when he does an eye examanation.
Hello It seems from the history that you are having recurrent pain and redness of the eye. Since you are also having retinal vasculitis, this can be inflammation of the uveal tract called as uveitis. The treatment is by the use of antibiotics and steroids. Uveitis in most of the cases will be idiopathic in nature and no cause will be found out even on extensive investigations. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor and undergo examination in this regard.
Thank you
