Suggest Treatment For Pain And Slight Swelling In The Right Foot And Left Ankle Leading To Difficulty In Walking

I have had pain in my right foot starting in my toes and foot was slightly swollen for 2 weeks. Still have that pain and now left ankle is very swollen and sore to walk on. I went to Er and they rayed, but nothing broken. Took blood work for gout, and that was negative. WhT could this be? I have not had any injury that I know of.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

The swollen and painful leg could be related to arthritis. I recommend checking uric acid plasma levels and inflammation tests. Consulting with a rheumatologist will be necessary.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
