Suggest Treatment For Pain And Soreness In Lower Back After Injury
I slipped walking down the stairs in my apartment, just the last 3 steps. Happened about 2 days ago. I caught myself and landed on my butt but I think I hit my lower back. It s been feeling a bit sore and hurts when I am laying down or sitting up. Is there something I should be worried about?
Hi, Welcome to HCM and Thanks for posting your Query here
From your description it is highly possible that your lower back has got a jerk and due to this you are feeling pain in your lower back
Most probably It may be just a muscular strain in lower back muscles and for this you should do proper rest and apply hot water bag on lower back Along with this you can take over the counter anti inflammatory medicine like ibuprofen and muscle relaxant like thiocholchicoside to relieve pain and discomfort But if your pain and discomfort doesn't go away within 2 weeks than i would strongly suggest you to visit a orthopedic surgeon to further evaluate the condition as this injury may involves inter vertebral discs which may slip or prolapse due to an injury and require medical treatment
I hope it helps Thanks and get well soon
