Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms pain and swelling in jaw while clenching of teeth can be due to any of the following reasons:
1. PERICORONITIS which is inflammation of gum flap over the erupting wisdom tooth due to infection or trauma due to opposite arch tooth..
2. DENTAL ABSCESS formation due to any infected tooth when the infection has progressed below the root tips of tooth leading to pus formation..
3. JAW CYST..
4. MUMPS.
5. SWOLLEN SALIVARY GLANDS..

You should consult a dentist and get evaluated and get a full mouth x ray known as ORTHPANTOMOGRAM [OPG] done to rule out the exact cause of the illness and get treated according to the diagnosis..
As of now you can take a course of antibiotics like Augmentin 625 mg three times a day, Anti-inflammatory OTC painkiller like Ibuprofen 4OO mg twice a day and Pantoprazole 4O mg once in the morning empty stomach..

Hope this information helps..
