Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have pain in all my joints that keep me awake at night. My joints have swollen intermittently from one to the next. My legs started to give way, my shoulders one at a time were unable to help me lift myself off of the couch and the VA now tells me I need a new knee. I have fibromyalgia but when I see a Dr they tell me I am still healthy enough to get through these problems. I hurt all the time, I cannot sleep and My stamina has decreased by a huge amount. I hurt, what can I do?

Pathologist and Microbiologist, Dr. Stany BC's Response
Hello sir, I wish i could know your age and whether you had any other medical condition too. But kindly get a uric acid , urea , creatinine and RA factor done . This is just to rule out arthritis.Meantime since you said you had swollen joints, gout must be ruled out.....and since you hurt all the time, an anti inflammatory drug like aspirin or diclofenac/ brufen should help. You need to get the uric acid levels done and preferably consult a rheumatologist. Also get an ECG taken
