Suggest Treatment For Pain And Swelling Over The Staph Infection Site On Thigh
My daughter has a staph infection on her thigh. They lanced it Friday but she still had pain and swelling came back. Today after an ultra sound they just took her to surgrey. We r 900 miles away why would they take her in so quick. They said something about air pockets and now she s in recovery

hi staphylococcal infection can be very dangerous, if not controlled in time, especially in regions like the thigh, due to more muscular spaces and pockets in between the muscles. the infection spreads as early as possible,in these areas, which has to be drained as early as possible to prevent extensive cellulitis, & infefction , if delayed this can lead to sudden sepsis & multiorgan failure even progressing to septic shock. emergency incision & drainage with good coverage of antibiotic is obligatory. do not worry, she `ll be alright. take care
