Hi....I ve had back tightness for about 3-4 months , but all of the sudden it got worse in the past month and 2 weeks ago I had a basketball game and when I got home I got a sharp stinging pain near my anus (not in it) on the right side of my buttock and it also radiates stinging in my gooch area. Please help me. I ve been to the ER and different doctors. They all have told me because I am tight in my hamstrings, but I know that isn t it. PLEASE HELP ME. It isn t constant pain , but it s hurts on different movements .
As per my clinical experience, the severe pain over lower back near anal opening and side of buttock, may be in relation with issue of coccyx as minor crack or paracoccygeal ligament tear. In my clinic, after thorough clinical examination, I explain need of an MRI of the perineum for best possible evaluation and guidelines accordingly.
If proper and enough trial of muscle relaxant as Chlordiazepoxide or else is not given, one may opt for that option for a period of 2 weeks or so.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
