Suggest Treatment For Pain And Warmth On Fingers Of A Child

My son injured his right pinky finger at the base. His finger and palm are black and blue. I put a splint on it but he is complaining of pain and warmth at the base of the finger and Palm. Is this an injury that just needs a splint?? Or should I take him to a walk in orthopedic clinic??

Hi, usually a injury causing pain, warmth, change in colour, could mean an internal injury, it is best to visit an orthopedic who can check his bones, joints & muscles and treat him accordingly. Take care, Wish your son gets well soon.
